Seekr
Web, App (iOS & Android), Mobile, Tablet, Android Auto and Apple Carplay Designs
Role: Product Designer
Platform: Web, iOS, Android, Mobile, Tablet, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay
Tools Used: Figma, Jira, Confluence
🚀 Overview
Seekr is Rogers Sports & Media’s unified digital audio platform that brings together live radio, podcasts, shows, and contests from all its properties into a single seamless experience. As the only Product Designer on the team, I led the end-to-end design strategy—owning the creation, refinement, and implementation of user experiences across all major touchpoints: desktop, mobile, tablet, and in-car platforms in light and dark mode.
🎯 Design Goals
Unify fragmented experiences across Rogers’ multiple audio content channels (radio, shows, podcasts, contests).
Create a design system for consistency across platforms and scale for future features.
Improve user engagement by making discovery and playback more seamless and intuitive.
Support product development cycles with design QA and developer collaboration.
All designs are in light and dark mode and changes to be synchronous across app and web.
Designs for all possible empty states and error states..
🔍 Research & Strategy
Competitive Analysis: Assessed popular streaming platforms (Spotify, iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts) to identify UX patterns and gaps.
Stakeholder Workshops: Collaborated with product managers and business stakeholders to align design strategy with KPIs such as time spent listening and contest participation.
User Feedback Loops: Partnered with QA to evaluate user-reported issues, which informed iterative improvements.
🧱 Design System Creation
Built a robust Figma design system from the ground up:
Global styles for typography, color for light and dark modes, and spacing
Component libraries (buttons, cards, modals, navigation)
Auto Layout, Variables, and CDK’s for easy scalability
Dev mode for approved designs
Ensured cross-platform consistency (Web, App, Auto) by documenting usage rules and patterns.
🛠️ Cross-Functional Collaboration
Participated in sprint planning, presenting designs and clarifying UX flows with dev and backend teams.
Was a part the Daily syncs with Product Manager, Project Manager developers, BSA and QA, ensuring that UI tickets aligned with the original design intent before sign-off.
Provided detailed design specs and interaction guidance via Figma and Confluence.

💡 Reflection
Seekr was a high-impact project that challenged me to think holistically across platforms while staying agile in a fast-paced development environment. Owning the product design function from concept to QA gave me a deep understanding of how thoughtful design can elevate both user satisfaction and development efficiency.
